A vagrant inspiration
Called the truth of the world
Writes the history of Tuesday in a holy tongue
The roar of the mountaintop ceases
The ominous silence begins
After which a new religion,
Spit up and belched from
Some stonebearded primitive
Comes down the hill
And takes over.
